A Home Run Platinum Wedding

It’s always a special experience to be a part of someone’s wedding.  But every once in a while, a wedding comes along that’s so fantastic, we just have to say WOW.  That was the case with the wedding of Anisha Gwynn and Kennard Jones.  Last month, the WE Channel’s Platinum Weddings featured their amazing event, and we were delighted to have our work shown.  Though we can’t post the video, here are some snapshots with excerpts from the show’s transcript.

(January 31, 2010 Platinum Weddings episode on WE)
“It’s a sunny San Diego wedding filled with fabulous flowers, fantastic food and plenty of one very important thing…. ‘Diamonds are really a girl’s best friend,’ says Anisha Gwynn.”

“When the daughter of a Hall of Fame baseball player marries a professional baseball player,  their blinged out bash has to be a grand slam home run.”PlatinumWedding5

(Laurel McFarlane, Wedding planner speaking) “The food is delicious….

…Once again, it’s a play on the traditional and the classic and comfort food.  Guests are going to enjoy a wedged salad with blue cheese dressing with pancetta bacon.  The next course is an organic salmon fillet…

…or we have a braised short rib with a Alicia Gwynn’s homemade brandy barbecue sauce.”

(Anisha Gwynn speaking)  “It’s not like any other barbecue sauce you’ve tasted.  It has a little zing to it, it’s sweet.”

(Laurel McFarlane speaking)  “The best thing is our dessert buffet.  We have chocolate mousse served in martini glasses….

…creme brulee, and cookies and brownies….”

David and I wanted to let you know how wonderful last nights party and you all were. We loved starting outdoors with you and your team bringing to life our new pizza kitchen. It's the first time since November that I've been able to enjoy it as a guest instead of the chef and waitress.

We really enjoy and appreciate all of your team members - they are truly the A-Team and we feel like you are all family. Please let them know how we feel.

    Many Thanks,
